FAQs
What is the Radical Hospitalitea Archive?
Radical Hospitalitea is a living, community-centered collection of stories, images, and experiences that reflect the sacred practice of radical hospitality—especially as it shows up among unhoused neighbors, faith communities, and frontline advocates. It’s more than a record—it’s a relationship.
What makes it a living archive?
Unlike static historical archives, a living archive grows through ongoing contributions, evolving narratives, and interactive storytelling. It responds to the present moment while preserving voices that are too often erased from dominant narratives.
Who is featured in the archive?
The archive centers the voices of those impacted by homelessness, street-level care workers, faith-rooted communities, activists, artists, and everyday citizens practicing radical love and welcome. All stories are shared with consent and dignity.
How is the archive used?
It serves as:
A catalyst for change rooted in love and listening
A resource for educators, faith leaders, and activists
A storytelling hub for community organizing and policy advocacy
A platform for interfaith and intergenerational dialogue
Can I contribute a story or resource?
Yes. We welcome lived experience, creative media, and reflections from people practicing or impacted by radical hospitality. Contact us directly to get involved.
How do you ensure dignity and consent?
We use trauma-informed, person-first storytelling practices. Every contributor is given agency over how their story is told, credited, and used. Community members are collaborators—not case studies.
What inspired this archive?
The archive emerged from years of frontline ministry, community engagement, and research led by Shereetha J.—a strategic communicator and street barista committed to amplifying stories of resilience, grace, and justice.
