About

Sometimes, where I see resilience, I also witness resistance, and I hold space there, in commUNITY—often over a cup of coffee, surrounded by grace and hospitality.

Called to serve coffee. Made to meet the moment. Shereetha J. is a visionary storyteller, strategist, and community leader redefining what radical hospitality looks like in action. As Chief Operating Officer of Church of the Common Ground, a “church without walls” serving unhoused and marginalized neighbors in Atlanta, she leads with empathy, innovation, and an unwavering belief in the power of human connection.

She is also the founder of the Radical Hospitalitea, a living archive that brings overlooked stories and voices to the forefront, creating dignified, equitable spaces where everyone belongs. Shereetha’s work seamlessly weaves advocacy, narrative change, and grassroots care. From curating exhibitions and podcasts to brewing coffee as a “street barista,” she transforms everyday moments into sacred encounters, inspiring others to listen more deeply, love more loudly, and imagine boldly.
